About Special Needs Alliance (SNA)

The Special Needs Alliance (SNA) is a national non-profit organization of attorneys dedicated to the practice of disability and public benefits law. Members have daily experience with the issues that matter to individuals with disabilities—but which are largely unfamiliar to other counsel. Many of them have loved ones with special needs, and the average member has nearly 20 years of relevant background.

SNA attorneys can help create a plan for financial security. Advocate for a child with the local school district. Explain power of attorney and guardianship options that balance personal independence and safety. And much more.

They also offer guidance to the trustees, financial planners and personal injury attorneys who serve individuals with disabilities. They can advise on the administration of a special needs trust, assess eligibility for public benefits and assist in the handling of personal injury settlements.

Our members stay abreast of evolving state and federal law and are dedicated to changing public policy in order to improve quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Because they are active in their communities, they can connect individuals and families to local services. Special needs attorneys are, quite simply, life care partners.
